Day the First - Home, a Walk, and Conan O'Brien

My brother and I arrived safely in L. A. and nearly fell asleep on our ride to my grandparents' (gorgeous) house. After a wonderful, deep sleep, we woke up the next day to actual sun. After months of freezing grey days, it was a bit of a shock to wake up warm with a little extra vitamin D.

My grandparents have a gorgeous house, which I've photographed before. This time, I made breakfast, and took photos of that rather than the decor.
We went out for a walk around the neighbourhood, and I still couldn't get over how sunny it was. Everything was green and there were mountains and leaves on the trees!
Then my grandfather whisked us off to visit the studio he works at! We stopped at Disney, then went to the set of the Conan O'Brien show, and toured other sets! It was right before Christmas, so the place was pretty empty, which meant more fun for us.

Fun fact: my grandfather painted the moon on Conan's backdrop, and I sat in Conan's chair. (I don't have photo proof though, my brother has that).
